English and Portuguese speaking clinical Psychologist. Weekdays, Saturdays & After-ho
Consultation fee is $245 for a 50 min session
Medicare rebate of $141.85 ( MBS item 80010)
Payments are made in full by the day of the consultation by Direct Debt, or credit card. Medicare processing made after payment.
Unless you want to claim a Medicare or health insurance rebate, a GP referral is not necessary but it is preferable.
For cancellation or rescheduling of your appointment, please contact me at least 48 business hours in advance (weekends & public holidays not included). For example, if your appointment is on Monday 10 am you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment by Thursday 10 am.
All No Shows to an appointment, and cancellation or rescheduling with less than 48 business hours notice will incur a full fee.
Please be aware that Medicare & Private Health Insurance DO NOT cover the cost of cancellations and so if incurred, this fee will represent an out-of-pocket expense.
The fee is not intended as a deterrent or punishment, but is in place for the following reasons:
- With less than 48 business hours’ notice, we are not able to offer the appointment to another client that would benefit from that time.
- The psychologist allocate a full hour for session and notes, and
- If you do not attend a scheduled appointment, we still incur the overhead costs of the business facilities.
Medicare rebates are available to clients with a valid referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan from a medical practitioner.
The rebate is currently limited to 10 sessions per calendar year in the amount of $141.85 per session. To receive the Medicare rebate you will pay the full fee first and then claim it through Medicare.
